Why do you want to support Belmont?

We support Belmont because we believe it is important to give back and be proud of the university our daughter Madison chose to attend.

Why are you supporting scholarships specifically?

The scholarship was set up as a Stuart Family Music Scholarship because we strongly support the arts, specifically music. Madison is a junior commercial music major, and we are pleased with the education and the Christian values provided by Belmont faculty. We are also pleased with Dr. Stephen Eaves, the Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts, and his staff. They are helpful, supportive and encouraging. With this scholarship, we hope to help someone else follow their dreams at Belmont’s School Of Music.

What about your experience as a parent at Belmont inspired this gift?

As parents we believe it is very important to be involved in our child’s education, even a child in college. Belmont is a small, beautiful campus with a warm and friendly atmosphere.  The new project for the Performing Arts Center is very exciting for Belmont and the Nashville community. We always enjoy attending Madison’s music events such as Southbound and Christmas at Belmont, but we especially enjoy visiting with friends and staff every time we are at Belmont, or when they come to Dallas.

Why would you encourage others to give to Belmont? 

Belmont has been a great choice for our daughter and our family. We are pleased with the education she is receiving, but also the confidence, responsibility and leadership skills she is gaining being away at college. We highly encourage others to support and give to the wonderful education programs, so others can benefit from their experience at Belmont University. We are blessed as a family to be able to give back.
