How did you first become aware of/involved with Belmont University?

We first became aware of Belmont when Lizzy, our daughter, was searching for musical theater college programs. We visited Belmont, and it was love at first sight for all of us.

Why do you want to support Belmont?

We have been nothing but very pleased with Lizzy’s experience at Belmont. We feel the school has created a wonderful environment for young people to transition from teenagers to responsible and confident young adults. We are grateful for this and want to give back, in particular to help another student benefit from the wonderful Belmont experience.

Why are you supporting the musical theater department?

We are supporting the musical theater department not only because they are one of the best in the country, but because they truly care about their students. They not only produce great performers, but they take a personal interest in them and encourage their personal growth.

Is there a specific experience you’ve had a Belmont that inspired these gifts to the musical theater department?

We were particularly touched when the musical theater department head told the students that she would continue to pray for each of them individually. It was not unusual for the faculty to text scripture passages.

Why would you encourage others to give to Belmont?

If you share in our belief that Belmont does offer something really exceptional, we encourage you to support this University in order to perpetuate the wonderful work it does and so that other college students can have the benefit of a Belmont education.
